Admission Policies:
At MBGS, we welcome everyone to be a part of our growing family. We have various classes to place and meet the needs of students of different age and different capabilities. The diversity is a gift from nature to learn with each other and be a part of it.
The admission process starts with assessing the applicants after the application is made to determine their readiness for our program and to ensure that they will be happy and successful in our school. Assessment for admissions to preschool and kindergarten is an assessment of developmental readiness. For first grade and above, we use a variety of formative assessments to learn the applicant’s academic and social skills. Once admitted, these readiness assessments are used by teachers to individualize instruction and effectively integrate your child into our classroom environment.
AGE REQUIREMENTS AND GRADE PLACEMENT
By June 1st
2.5 years of age – Nursery
3.5 years of age – Prep -1
4.5 years of age – Prep -2
5.5 years of age – Grade 1
6.5 years of age – Grade 2
7.5 years of age – Grade 3
8.5 years of age – Grade 4
9.5 years of age – Grade 5
10.5 years of age – Grade 6
